Classic Green Bean Casserole

  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • dash pepper
  • 2 cans (10 ¾ oz.) Campbell's condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz. each) any style green giant green beans, drained
  • 1 can (2.8 oz.) Durkee french fried onions.

    Conventional: In 1½ qt. casserole, combine soup, milk, soy sauce and pepper. Stir in beans and ½ can french fried onions. Bake at 350-degrees for 25 minutes; stir. Top with remaining onions. Bake 5 minutes longer.

    Microwave: Prepare as above in microwaveable casserole. Cover; microwave on high 7 minutes or until hot, stirring halfway through cooking. Sprinkle with remaining onions. Microwave, uncovered, 1 minute.

    Tip: Recipe may be doubled. Prepare as directed above except to microwave, use 12" X 8" baking dish and increase microwave cooking time to 10 minutes. Conventional oven time remains the same.
