Minute Boil Fudge Frosting

2 oz. chocolate

1½ cups sugar

7 Tbs. milk

2 Tbs. shortening

2 Tbs. butter

1 Tbs. corn syrup

¼ tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

Place all ingredients except vanilla in top of double boiler or heavy saucepan. Bring slowly to a full boil stirring constantly and boil briskly for 1 minute. Cool to lukewarm, add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread.
