Molasses Cupcakes

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tsp. salt

    Mix these four ingredients to make crumbs, remove one cupful and set aside.

  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 tsp. baking soda (dissolve in water)

    Beat until well mixed. Add to remaining crumbs. Fill cupcake liners ½ full and sprinkle with crumbs that were set aside. Bake at 375-degrees about 12 to 15 minutes
