PEANUT BUTTER CANDY

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ light corn syrup
  • 2 cups rice krispies
  • dash of salt
  • 1 cup peanut butter

    Cook sugar, corn syrup and salt until sugar is dissolved. Blend in peanut butter, then stir in cereal. Pat evenly in buttered or foil-lined 11 X 7 X 2" pan. Chill to harden slightly. Remove cereal from pan to make it easier to cut into squares. Spread with the frosting, when cool cut into small squares.

    Frosting:
  • 4 Tbs. margarine/butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs. milk
  • 1¼ cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla

    Melt margarine & brown sugar in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and add; vanilla, milk, and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth.
