Pine Bark

  • 1 sleeve of saltines
  • 2 sticks of real butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 12 or 16 oz. Pkg. of chips (white or chocolate).

    Heat oven to 400-degrees. Spray cookie sheet with non-stick spray. Place saltines on cookie sheet. Melt butter in saucepan, then stir in brown sugar, stirring constantly on medium heat until blended (about 3 minutes). Drip this mixture evenly over saltines. Place in oven for 6 minutes. Scatter chips on top; slowly use back of spoon to spread the chips as they melt. Cool at least ½ hour or until hardened. Break up like peanut brittle.
