Russian Tea Cake Cookies
1 cup butter or margarine
½ cup confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2¼ cups flour
¼ tsp. salt
¾ cup finely chopped walnuts
Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Stir flour and salt together, and blend in 1/3 with butter mixture. With hands work in remaining flour and nuts until dough holds together. Form dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 400-degree oven or until set but not brown. While warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool and roll in sugar a second time.
