Short Pie

  • 1 cup of Bisquick
  • ¼ cup soft butter (½ stick)
  • 3 Tbs. boiling water
  • peaches or apples, peeled and sliced to fill 9" pie pan

    Heat oven to 400-degrees. Put Bisquick and butter in small bowl. Add boiling water; stir with fork until dough forms a ball and cleans the bowl. Divide dough into four parts. Pat each part into a wedge. Place fruit into a pie pan, sweeten to taste and sprinkle with cinnamon. Place four wedges of dough (evenly spaced) on top of fruit. Sprinkle dough with small amount of sugar and cinnamon. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until fruit is baked. Best if served warm.,
