Whoope Pie Cookies

  • COOKIE
  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2¼ cups flour
  • 1 cup quick choc. flavored mix
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup milk

    Mix cookie ingredients in order given until thoroughly mixed. Drop by tsp. onto greased cookie sheet, bake for 8 minutes in 400-degree oven. Let stand on cookie sheets 2 or 3 minutes before removing from pan. Put together with filling for sandwiches.

    FILLING
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 2 cups marshmallow crème

    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then fold in marshmallow.
