Sometimes you get what you pay for,
and sometimes you get a whole lot more

The following have all contributed their talents to help people learn web design,
with the simple request that they be acknowledged for their work.
I would like to extend my thanks to them.

Tutorials

Peter J. Labrocca's HTMelementary. Best tutorial on HTML I've found.
HTML Goodies - tutorials, scripts and FAQs on website design.
National Center for Supercomputing Applications. Nice primers on HTML and CGI.
CNET's builder.com website - tutorials and code samples, articles on web building.

Software and Tools

Arachnoid software, A free HTML Editor, makes coding web pages a much simpler game.
Hamrick Software, vueprint. I use this to resize and trim images. There is a short trial (15 uses), then you need to pay $40, but I've gotten my monies worth out of it.
Visibone.com, color charts. Gives all the hex codes for displaying just the right shade.
Matt's Script Archive, wwwboard. The message board on this site is a free script provided by Matt's Archive.

Graphics, Art, Backgrounds and Buttons

Graphics by Beanie, nice buttons and backgrounds.
Boogie Jack's Web Depot, unbelievable how many pages of stuff he has here.
Cool Graphics, some of the animation and signs are from here in addition to backgrounds and buttons.
Graphic Star, some real quality pages, with matching buttons and logos.
Noetic Art, TONS of great images (see ==> ). I cannot wait to start using these!
Jeff Bucchino,"The Wizard of Draws", another artist worth checking out.
