Dear Family,
The letter is a month earlier than last year. I had it 4-28 last year.

Looks like Percy & I were the only ones not invited to Bru's 80th. Glad you all had fun.

Was great to have a visit with Skip & Trudy after the party.

Am watching the Mens Figure Skating from Japan. They are so good.

Am starting to quilt. It is addictive, really enjoying my new machine. Have to make Bethany's Easter Dress this week. Have been making children and baby clothes for American Sewing Guild & friends new grandkids. Keeps me busy.

My friends from Utah, Betty & Jack, were here for the week. As usual we had a great visit. At 80 Jack is getting pretty nervous about driving in our traffic. Utah doesn't have much traffic. So betty's daughter drove them down from Temecula and then I drove them up to Temecula Sat.

Our church is having its 50th birthday March 4th so I am involved in that besides our rummage sale is the 3rd. So it promises to be a busy week.

We are having much needed rain this weekend. I love it! They expect we will reach the norm for this year today or tomorrow.

Holiday Bowl this year was Oregon Ducks – Texas Long Horns. Great game, great company, much fun. Parade, tailgate party, game and fire works.

Well Clinton went out of office with about as much class as he showed while Pres. Will he never grow up? So far I'm quite impressed with George W. Hopefully he will bring respect back to the office of President.

So sorry Wes is having such a rough time. Hope Aunt Betsy is doing well. You are all in my prayers.

Was sad to see 3 Rivers Stadium go down.

Must run, God bless you all.

Love, Sally Pursley
