Dear Family:

The Robin came on Friday but so did Jenny and family for a week-end stay. Cindy and Dan and his kids came on different days of the week-end to visit so we've had a busy time of it. Baby Kamryn is now more than 2 going on about 22. Talks in full sentences (nay paragraphs) and, even without my bias, is as cute as a bug-in-a-rug! Trudy works her tail off to feed everyone and see that none go away disatisfied. It really was a wonderful time.

Speaking of wonderful times, our 50th anniversary aboard "The Explorer of the Seas" couldn't have been much better. There were 15 of us at the dinner table almost every evening and various groups of the 15 got together for different events and port stops. If you haven't viewed the pictures on our Web site "mickeyfamily.com/familypages/pictures from the Caribbean" please do so.

The year has also been very special because Richard had a 40th surprise birthday party here in Allentown and David had a 50th surprise birday party in his own house in VT. That last one was no small feat to pull off!

I hope everyone has been visiting the web site weekly to get acquainted with their family members on their birthdays. Some months like April are pretty sparse so the pictures stay up for the whole month, then others like July have as many as 3 on a single day so they're only up a few days. I'd like to have current pictures to post but some of you don't make the family reunions regularly, so please take time to email or snail mail me new photo's every couple years at least (especially if the pictures you see on line appear too old or unflattering). The latest letters, as well as the previous letters, are now available on the family site under "the robin". Full URL to get you directly to the Robin letters "http://www.mickeyfamily.com/robin/index.html" . You may notice that some tend to load much faster than others. That is because html documents are only about 10 percent as large as jpg's. If all you who can would write your letters as an email and send them to me it will make my job of posting html letters much much easier. And your job of reading them on line much easier also. Thanks in advance! One last point, if any of your children have special events or wish to add a letter for any reason we'll be happy to add them at the appropriate point in the line-up.

Trudy and I are planning on spending most of the last week of July in Ligonier. We'll be attending the Heiple/Mickey Reunion at IdleWild Park and then doing research on my family in Latrobe and the surrounding area. I've been spending many many hours at the computer going through census records from 1790 to 1920. I have had some success finding records of Joseph Clark's family, his father George W. Mickey's family and his father Daniel and Margaret Mickey family as well. Also several generations back on my mother's side and Max's mother's side. I'll be putting up the evidence on the family site's genealogy page before very much longer.

Jeanne, I did send the requested information to Anne Medert quite some time ago but haven't heard whether or not she got them. I hope she still has enough vision to see and enjoy them.

that's all the news worth telling from Allentown, so, till the next time Robin arrives;

Love: Skip and Trudy
